zf and ch are nominated as councillors. they had to inform the discipline master that their classmate was beating another classmate.
the classmate whom they reported was their good friend.
well, torn between friendship and duty, how would you choose? not forgetting the fact that your peers would automatically label you as a baotoh kia if you opted for the latter. and they won't believe you if you said that you did this in the best interests of your friend because they would feel that you are flaunting your power.
not an enviable position to be in.
so, they asked me if they ought to go through with the Investiture and be formally appointed.
ch: i still gonna quit being a councillor. but thks for talking some sense into me
zf: i have so many responsibilities on hand. i'm not sure if i can handle it
erm, of course i won't deny that i prefer you to be councillors lar. good opportunity to grow into a leader mah. but ultimately, if you choose to quit being councillors, i hope you quit for other reasons other than your insecurities about whether you would do a good job. because leaders aren't made overnight and teachers are there to guide you along the way
if you feel that you have made a mistake, don't make similar mistakes in the future
if you feel that people don't like your leadership style, get constructive feedback and finetune your style
if you feel that accepting this role is gonna be overwhelming, think about how badly you want this and take one step at a time
i was just trying to convey that you should give yourself this chance
nonetheless, regardless of what decision you make, i will support you
because isn't life about taking charge of our destiny and making our own choices?
zf: ch and me will always remember you.
me: [shocked] erm no need to say that
but yah, it felt good. thanks.
