Term 1, Week 7

soccer boys lost to IJ on wed. still, their persevering and assertive spirit in the 2nd half was heartwarming to watch. much better than the punching bags they were in the 1st half. YJ, YJ. i hope this college will become a livelier place in time to come.

my GP rep, upon hearing that i wanted to discuss his essay, apologised and pledged to rewrite the essay. really took me by surprise. let's just say that i myself would never volunteer to rewrite any essay. haha.

the Irony lesson was a runaway success. at one point, wendy was jumping up and down. haha. amusing to watch. k, k, this sensei will try to think of more student-centred fun lessons.

went for zhang zhen yue's concert yesterday! it was a sponanteous decision, for my friend only smsed me on the day itself. initially, i wasn't inclined to agree, for i had watched his concert and he's a rather dull performer. but given my easygoing nature, i agreed.

and a good thing i did. zhang zhen yue actually made small banter with the audience! who would have thought that? his mumblings left us scratching our heads at times but he appeared very comfortable on stage. what i liked most about him was that he was game to take a back seat and nudged his keyboardist and manager to sing impromptu. just a bunch of guys who insist on creating their own brand of music in these days where superficial mass-produced pop songs rule.
also went for a photographic exhibition prior to the concert. this contemplative shot was nice!
