so, i asked them to draw 3 significant events that shaped their lives/helped them become the person they are today

since some of them take Art as one of their subjects, i didn't expect them to choose words over drawings as their preferred mode of communication

since this class is united, i didn't expect them to finish their sharing session so quickly, with 10 mins to spare.

ordinarily, i would have panicked because this would mean that i had to do one of those emotion-rousing closing speeches, which i'm not particularly eloquent at. haha. but it felt quite touching, because even though most of them were soft-spoken, they still tried to share something of themselves with their peers.

which had nothing to do with Paper 1 or Paper 2 but was an important milestone in itself, wasn't it?

since this class seems so cheerful, i didn't expect the theme of regret to crop up so often

surely, there must be something seriously lacking with our educational system if our youngsters judge their self-worth based on their academic achievements. and i have forgotten that i was one of them before.

so, i said something about acknowledging these negative feelings and thinking about how best to cope with them

which was all right bah, given for an impromptu closure, except that this came to my mind when i was walking home:

every cloud has a silver lining

shenglong and suhaidah mentioned how it was a blessing in disguise that they retained

argh, the learning point was right under my nose and i bloody missed it!

yah, sometimes we learn to see the good in an undesirable situation

no matter, since some of them would be lurking here, it's good opportunity for mr heng to reiterate. haha. and close off by nagging:
